Welcome to Heta

Welcome to Heta. We are a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting diversity and its inclusion into local communities. We are a team of driven people who value and respect difference. We are constantly changing as community and individual needs change and embrace change as a key motivator that keeps our programs effective and relevant. We believe that through diversity we learn and grow, we welcome difference and respect each other.

What do we do?

Heta provides support and services to people who are disadvantaged and who generally want to be active in their community:

  • Support and Services could be: counselling, assessment, case management, training, volunteer support, or workplace support.
  • Disadvantage could be: financial, cultural, intellectual, physical, emotional or just not getting what you need!
  • Activity could be: employment, volunteering or self-employment.

Heta is an approved Skills for All Training Provider delivering Certificates II in Horticulture, Retail, Business and Customer Contact. At Heta we also deliver Disability Employment Services (DES), New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) Small Business Development, Indigenous Employment Services, Assessment Services, Corporates4Communities.

How do we do it?

We source funds from governments; through tenders and grants (but we don’t operate as a bureaucracy) – so that we can support people to be independent of welfare support.

We source support from corporate partners who are socially responsible – so we can give back to those who need it most, and so that we can offer a volunteer experience that changes lives through engagement and understanding.

Heta can provide you with any information from our site in alternative formats, including other languages. Please contact us to find out more.
