Financial Case Management
For working age people who receive income support, and have participation requirements,
Financial Case Management may be able to assist in the payment of essential expenses.
Are you struggling to pay bills?
Have you been breached from your participation requirement?
Do you need financial assistance?
This includes customers in receipt of the following payments:
Austudy
Newstart Allowance (including Newstart for Parents and people with disabilities).
Parenting Payment (customers with participation requirements only).
Youth Allowance/ Austudy.
Special Benefit (customers with activity test requirements).
How will it work
Centrelink makes a decision on whether you are eligible by conducting a specialist assessment.
If eligible Centrelink selects an organisation local to you.
Centrelink advises you of a non payment period and sends an introduction letter.
You will then contact the organisation and make an appointment.
Centrelink will review recommendation and where appropriate proceed with the payment of essential expenses,
Usually via electronic finds transfer.
