This allows participants to study and work with the support of a trainer and their new employer.
Traineeships are a great option for people looking for their first job, changing careers or those that have been out of the workforce for a while and need to update their skills.
To be considered for a traineeship, individuals must:
Be signed up to a traineeship within the first 3 months of employment
Be employed minimum 15 hours per week
Be a permanent employee e.g. receive sick pay and holiday pay
Be engaged on a recognised Award or Enterprise Bargaining Agreement
Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

Employers:
A traineeship provides businesses with the opportunity to employ a new member of staff who will be supported by a qualified trainer delivering a nationally recognised qualification based on industry standards.
Employers must be registered to host a traineeship candidate and this can be organised by Heta Inc on your behalf.
Training can take place on or off the job at a location of your choosing (your workplace or our training rooms).
Training includes learning established theories and best practice while work based projects allow consolidation of the new skills and knowledge.
A training schedule will be negotiated with both the employer and the employee.
A small financial contribution towards the cost of training is required but this can be absorbed by additional funding provided under the Commonwealth
Incentive Scheme for eligible applicants and often has a surplus amount meaning a second employee can undertake training giving employers two nationally accredited employees for the price of one!
