


The current Web development project Community Groups, involves creating and maintaining websites for organisations in the local community.
Members of the team have built their own website which they use to communicate with each other and to document the process. To view their work go to www.communitygroups.org.au
Previous participants on the program have successfully gained employment with some having established their own businesses.
Some of the activities you'll undertake as part of your six month placement in this course include Communication Skills, Researching, Data Entry, Word Processing, Office Administration, Telephone Skills, Operating Microsoft Word, Operating Microsoft Access, Operating Excell. Report Writing, Development of Promotional Material, Clerical Processing...and more.
Non-attendance of mutual obligation 'Work for the Dole' projects can lead to the suspension of Newstart Alllowance.
Centrelink provides the participant with a financial supplement in addition to the Newstart Allowance to cover travel expenses to and from the main location of the Work for the Dole project.
